These terms apply to all guests who participate in a Get Up and Grow interview, regardless of which option they have chosen. By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms in full.
1. Nature of the Interview
Get Up and Grow interviews are hosted by Sinta Ebersohn and published as podcast content across YouTube, Spotify and all connected platforms, as well as across Get Up and Grow social media channels. All interviews are pre-recorded via Zoom.
2. All Interviews Are by Invitation Only
Participation in a Get Up and Grow interview is by personal invitation from Sinta Ebersohn only. Bookings made through this page confirm acceptance of an existing invitation. Get Up and Grow reserves the right to decline or cancel any booking that does not meet this requirement.
3. Payment
Payment for paid collaboration options is due in full at the time of booking. Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received. Fees are stated in US dollars and are non-negotiable.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule your interview, please do so at least 72 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations made with less than 72 hours notice will forfeit the full booking fee. Rescheduling requests made with adequate notice will be accommodated where possible, subject to availability.
Get Up and Grow reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an interview in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, a full refund will be issued or an alternative date offered, at the guest’s preference.
Failure to show up for a scheduled interview, without prior notification and reasonable explanation, will result in forfeiting any future opportunity to collaborate with Get Up and Grow or Sinta Ebersohn.
5. Photography and Marketing Images
All guests are required to provide a quality colour photograph of themselves, suitable for use in marketing and promotional materials. Paid collaboration guests are also required to provide any relevant product or service images they wish to be considered for use. All images must be sent timeously via email to info@getupandgrow.co.za ahead of the interview date. Get Up and Grow reserves the right to use submitted images across all promotional and marketing materials at its own discretion.
6. Book and Product Donations
Guests choosing the Book and Product Feature option agree to post two personally autographed copies of their book or two clearly marked products to Sinta Ebersohn at the address provided at the time of booking. Books and products must arrive at least eight weeks before the scheduled interview date to allow time for shipping and preparation. The book or product donation forms part of the collaboration and is not refundable. If books and products do not arrive in time, the interview may need to be rescheduled.
Guests who wish to donate a product of another kind in place of or in addition to books are welcome to do so. All donations are gratefully received and used to benefit the Get Up and Grow community.
Guests are solely responsible for ensuring that all books and donated products are packaged safely and securely before shipping. Get Up and Grow and Sinta Ebersohn accept no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage or delay that occurs during transit. Any items that arrive damaged or do not arrive at all remain the sole responsibility of the sender.
7. Content and Accuracy
Each guest is solely responsible for the accuracy, truthfulness and legality of everything they say during their interview. Get Up and Grow is a podcast and community platform, not a journalistic or research publication. Sinta Ebersohn does not fact-check, verify or investigate the claims, statements, opinions or information shared by guests. Get Up and Grow accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the content of any guest’s statements, whether factual, professional, personal or otherwise. Any disputes arising from the content of a guest’s interview are entirely the responsibility of that guest.
8. Publication Rights
By participating in a Get Up and Grow interview, you grant Sinta Ebersohn and Get Up and Grow a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, distribute, promote and share the recorded interview or parts thereof in perpetuity across all current and future platforms, including YouTube, Spotify and all connected podcast platforms, and across all Get Up and Grow social media channels. You retain ownership of your own story and intellectual property.
9. Promotion of Commercial Offerings
Personal story interview guests may not discuss, promote or refer to any paid service, product, book or commercial offering during their interview. Paid collaboration guests may promote the specific service, book or product for which they have booked. Any promotion beyond the agreed scope is not permitted.
10. Conduct
Get Up and Grow is a platform built on respect, compassion and integrity. All guests are expected to conduct themselves accordingly during their interview. Get Up and Grow reserves the right to decline to publish an interview that contains content deemed disrespectful, harmful, discriminatory or inconsistent with the values and purpose of the platform, without obligation to issue a refund.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms or from participation in a Get Up and Grow interview shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
